The primary objective of dedicated Service Asset and Configuration Manager is to identify, document and administrate all the Configuration Items (CIs) required for delivering services, including their relationships and dependencies. SACM manager ensures that the configuration data are up-to-date and available.

In the Capacity management area it is ensuring there is enough capacity to deliver services on agreed level and quality

General tasks

  • Owner of the assigned Customer Configuration Management and Capacity process  („Blueprint“)
  • Schedule and Chair regular Configuration and Capacity service reviews with ITIL responsible managers and review results (both Internal and External) 
  • Secure effective communication towards customer/s, within Delivery Team/s and other stakeholders 

Asset and Configuration Management Responsibilities

  • owner of customer CMDB (Configuration Management Database) handbook (description of way of working in specific customer environment)
  • ensure configuration process is followed including customer environment
  • maintain configuration items information and relationships together with Configuration Items owners and other stakeholders
  • Manage a full lifecycle of all IT assets
  • reviewing CMDB data regularly and correcting findings
  • Providing monthly overview regarding CMDB and Asset Area for an assigned customer/customer (CMDB health)
  • Secure effective communication towards customer/s, within Delivery Team/s and other stakeholders

Capacity/Availability Management Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ensuring there is adequate IT Capacity to meet required levels of service for an assigned customer/customers. 
  • Define, analyze, plan, measure and improve all aspects of the agreed areas of the consumed IT services/products (with relation to the capacity). 
  • Ensures that there is sufficient capacity to meet agreed service level targets. 
  • Keeps all stakeholders informed about capacity status, needs and strategy.  
  • Maintains an overall understanding of current service capacity and trends. 
  • Works to proactively provide sufficient IT capacity. 
  • Produces and maintains a Capacity Plan. 
  • Ensures that capacity-related incidents, changes, and problems are addressed. 

What we expect

  • Knowledge and understanding of ITIL practices 
  • Understanding of IT technologies and platforms
  • Previous experience at an ITIL position and/or a Project Management 
  • Understanding of service asset and configuration management practices
  • Fluent in English language
  • Strong customer communication skills
  • Analytical thinking and systematic way of work
  • Eye for details
  • Ability to coordinate and cooperate and being a Team player
  • To be curious and willing to explore independently and drive improvements
  • Wants to learn
