Measures to support our people, customers and communities
The Covid-19 pandemic situation and especially the second wave that we are currently experiencing, has been posing newer challenges to businesses, communities, and individuals across India. Protecting the health and safety of our people, while ensuring smooth and continued delivery of services to our customers, continues to be our highest priority. Here are some of the measures that we have put in place:
Tietoevry India
Guidance materials and advisories have been developed and shared with our employees. Health talks, interactive sessions and open consultations with medical professionals have been conducted apart from info-sessions on topics of immediate relevance like 'How to promote healthy food habits to boost immunity and resistance', 'When to visit the hospital?', etc.
To help our employees adapt well to remote work, sessions on ‘Home Ergonomics’, 'Getting the balance right during WFH' by trained counsellors have been organized. Our support functions are providing services remotely with online recruitment/ onboarding for all new joiners, online celebrations to reward and recognize employee contribution, IT assets pick and drop service (across the country), online claims processing, hardware and other support.
We have partnered with 1to1help, which is among India’s leading employee assistance providers, to provide support to our employees in meeting life’s challenges and specially to cope with the psychological effects of the pandemic. Through this program, we offer our people a wide range of reliable self-help resources as well as individual counselling and personalized help from qualified and experienced counselling psychologists and professionals.
Learn moreOur employees have the provision of increasing their base coverage, top-up plan for their family members and include their parents (up to 90 years old) at a very reasonable premium. There is also a provision to include Covid-19 treatment as an add-on coverage. A helpline has been established to address all insurance related employee queries. Info-sessions on insurance benefits are regularly being conducted by our insurance partners.
As part of our proactive efforts towards enabling full vaccine coverage for our employees, we conducted a 2-day vaccination drive at our Pune office premises on June 14-15, 2021. Over 850 employees, support staff and their eligible family members were vaccinated in this drive. Employees who were not able to participate in this drive will be paid an allowance towards the vaccination cost for themselves and their eligible dependents.
We have a core team in place to provide necessary practical support to employees and their families who have tested Covid-19 positive and help them with counselling and regular health advice throughout the recovery process and also provide guidance during the post-recovery period. We have made special provisions to give these employees extra 10 working days paid leave in addition to their leave entitlement as per our corporate leave policy.
While employee well-being has always been extremely important, the pandemic has made it an overriding priority for us. Acknowledging the tough times our people are facing, we have tried to adopt a holistic approach to address the mental and emotional, apart from physical, aspects of our employees’ wellbeing in this period of heightened uncertainty and stress through regular wellness sessions, counselling and strong network and community support.
Our employee communities like TORG, ILEAD and the Ambassadors' Group have also been engaging employees through innovative virtual events, online competitions, quizzes and campaigns that enhance employee connect and promote the feeling of community during this remote work period. These groups have also been organizing exclusive health and wellness sessions for our employees such as PandoMaxx and Falun Dafa.
We are continuing to proactively evaluate risks, resolve possible issues and minimize any possible impact of the pandemic on our customer operations. Working in strict adherence to our BCP, we have back-up plans to enable quick actions in case any of our identified critical resources are affected at any point. Till date, we have not encountered any significant challenges in our customer deliveries due to the pandemic.
Our employees are continuing to work remotely as per the current government recommendations. Our systems and infrastructure have effectively supported remote work in the past year, and we are continuously working on strengthening them. Our India offices are open and operational with appropriate safety measures and protocols in place to support any critical operational requirements.
