We facilitate and advise Systembolaget on why, and how, to move parts of their IT operations to the public cloud, powered by Azure in order for them to be able to handle the highly fluctuating web traffic in a more cost-efficient manner, and with shorter time to market.
Systembolaget has really understood why scalability is key to keep costs under control in times where experimentation and pilots are key to success. In order to be able to create a customer experience that reflects their organizational vision, they need to free up time and money in order to actually be able to test their way to get there. Cloud technology has been a key enabler for Systembolaget when it comes to their transformation.
A large part of Systembolaget's hardware is recycled today through Tietoevry's care, for example, as much as 99 percent of all cash computers replaced during the year have been passed on to other operations, after which the life cycle has been significantly extended. Another initiative is the sustainability dashboard that Tietoevry has developed, where data collection is automated and environmentally impacting key figures from all of Systembolaget's strategic suppliers are collected and reported based on each player's delivery.Read more about cloud

This is trickier than you might think; you want to make it easier for people to make a planned purchase, but you definitely don’t want to tempt them to buy yet another alcoholic beverage that they hadn’t planned on purchasing.
