“We are living in an exciting era, where technology plays an ever-increasing role in making people, businesses and societies thrive. As a company we have helped our customers harness the power of technology through several evolution cycles, latest ones centered around data, cloud and artificial intelligence. We have already several live implementations or use cases realizable in the near future on how to fuel the benefits of cloud with AI, for example within healthcare. Combining the best of Microsoft’s and our expertise we can accelerate our customers’ ability to fully embrace the cloud transformation, and by this advance the digital competitiveness across the Nordic societies”, says Kimmo Alkio, President and CEO, Tietoevry.
Through the strategic collaboration, Microsoft and Tietoevry help customers accelerate their cloud journey, leveraging Microsoft’s global scale, security, and reliability of Microsoft Azure, and Tietoevry’s local presence, industry knowledge and customer-centricity. The collaboration will also enable customers to benefit from the latest cloud-enabled innovations, such as artificial intelligence and advanced data analytics.
“We are thrilled to announce this reinforced strategic collaboration with Tietoevry, a valued and respected partner of Microsoft in the Nordics. Together, we will enable our customers to harness the power of the cloud, unlocking new opportunities for innovation, growth, and resilience in their businesses and organizations”, Joacim Damgard, President, Microsoft Western Europe.
Creating value for customers and society
The collaboration will focus on four key areas: modernizing and migrating customers’ applications and infrastructure to Microsoft Azure; developing new cloud-native solutions and services; enhancing cloud capabilities and competencies; and driving sustainability and social impact through cloud.
The collaboration will also leverage Microsoft’s and Tietoevry’s existing offerings and partnerships, such as Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and SAP on Azure. Together the companies have also driven a cloud certification program for 3 000 Tietoevry professionals, contributing to creating the largest Azure community in the Nordics.
Both Microsoft and Tietoevry are committed to creating positive impact for their customers, employees, and society at large, through responsible and sustainable business practices.
