Frequency Restoration Reserve

FRR, or Frequency Restoration Reserve, is designed to manage sudden and significant frequency changes that may occur due to faults in the Nordic power system when the rotational energy in the system is low. There are two types of FFR products available; the first one automatically activates (aFRR), while the second one requires manual activation (mFRR).

Frequency Containment Reserves

Maintaining a stable frequency is crucial for maintaining balance, FCR, or Frequency Restoration Reserve, plays a key role in achieving this. FCR is automatically activated whenever there are frequency deviations within its designated range, and it is traded in advance for each moment of the day. There are various FCR products available to choose from.
