Sweden’s kindest calendar Snällkalendern goes digital empowered by TietoEVRY
Published: 10 November 2021
Sweden’s largest anti-bullying organization, Friends, each year create an illustrated Christmas Calendar with a kind message behind each window, together with the Swedish art brand Mrs Mighetto. The calendar is sold in stores and by partners all over the country, in favor of the work to stop bullying. This year, Friends together with TietoEVRY have created a digital version of the popular calendar.
When this year's Snällkalender is now back, beautifully illustrated by the creative duo Mrs Mighetto, it is the children's voices that are highlighted behind each window. The friendly calendar can in a simple and fun way break exclusion or be an easy way to talk about important topics with children. A new feature for this year is that the calendar is also available digitally, in Swedish and English. This makes it easier for companies to spread the calendar among employees, even globally. TietoEVRY has collaborated with Friends to produce a digital version of the calendar for the first time, which can also be opened on a mobile phone.
“As a proud partner of Friends, we contribute with what we know best and this is just one example of how we together can make a difference in society. Inclusion among young people and in the workplace is a very important topic that we want to help draw attention to”, says Johan Torstensson, Country manager Sweden, at TietoEVRY.
The calendar provides direct financial support to Friends' work towards a sustainable society free from bullying and discrimination.
“We are extremely happy to once again be able to offer the opportunity to spread love in the form of good deeds during December. A Christmas calendar does not stop the bullying, but a person's action, or a simple hello, can be crucial for a child who feels lonely or outside”, says Maja Frankel, Secretary General of Friends.
