In a landmark collaboration, Tietoevry Create, Inflectra and Saab have unveiled a state-of-the-art migration tool designed to facilitate a seamless transition from Jira Server or Jira DataCenter to Inflectra's SpiraPlan platform. This tool, a complement to Inflectra's existing migration application, is accessible as an open-source project on Inflectra's GitHub repository.
The new migration tool offers an extensive range of features, including the migration of product-level releases, requirements, incidents, tasks, comments, and attachments, along with program capabilities and milestones, product template settings, and system-level custom lists. Saab, a pioneer in utilizing this tool, has successfully migrated over 20 projects and 90,000 issues into their Proof-Of-Concept (POC) of SpiraPlan, demonstrating the robust capabilities of the tool.
The tool allows unparalleled precision in transferring various artifacts from Jira to SpiraPlan. One of the key advantages of this tool is its capacity to allow multiple migration attempts, ensuring that the configuration aligns perfectly with the user's specific needs, said Adam Sandman, the CEO of Inflectra.
The tool is available on Inflectra’s GitHub repository, complete with comprehensive documentation and example configurations to facilitate immediate usage. Users are encouraged to provide feedback on the repository or seek assistance via email@example.com.
