Digital services for all citizens, patients and professionals.
Health Village is a digital service platform that delivers public health services to the general public, digital care pathways for patients with specific diagnoses and digital tools for professionals. The services delivered are all based on an ICT-platform designed according to the eHealth Development Program.
Helsinki University Hospital (HUS) is Finland’s largest university hospital, which allowed it to create and scale-up digital services for more than 100 patient groups within a 12-month period. Through the Health Village concept, HUS has accelerated digitalization and brought patient care under one umbrella service.
At present, Health Village consists of 32 hubs with different health themes and 115 digital care paths. An average of 615 000 monthly visitors use the site, within which they can access advice, self-assessments, quizzes and risk tests.
