17 February 2020

Oslo, 17 February 2020 - Tietoevry has entered into a comprehensive agreement to provide nine Norwegian savings banks with a complete portfolio of banking solutions. The agreement runs for a period of six years and represents total contract value of approximately NOK 600 million.

De Samarbeidende Sparebankene (DSS) is an alliance of nine Norwegian savings banks with a joint collaboration agreement. The banks in the collaboration are Etne Sparebank, Flekkefjord Sparebank, Haugesund Sparebank, Lillesands Sparebank, Luster Sparebank, Skudenes & Aakra Sparebank, Spareskillingsbanken, Søgne og Greipstad Sparebank and Voss Sparebank.

The new agreement builds on the parties’ previous agreement, which was for a complete portfolio of solutions, including core banking and payment solutions.

“Working together with EVRY for many years has helped us to strengthen the savings banks’ value creation and competitiveness, and it has also given the banks access to innovative and future-oriented solutions. This has resulted in a better customer experience and simpler day-to-day work for the banks’ employees. Our strategic collaboration, which is now being continued through a new agreement with Tietoevry, will provide us with efficient and predictable deliveries so that the banks can focus on their core tasks and on further developing their positioning as competitive local banks”, explains Bente Haraldson Syre, Chair of the Board of DSS AS and Managing Director of Haugesund Sparebank.

Martin Kverne, Sales Director for Financial Services at TietoEVRYTietoevry will support the banks’ commercial activities by providing modern and cost-efficient solutions using standardised banking solutions that comply with regulatory requirements. At the same time, the banking solutions will meet bank customers’ expectation to be provided with a personal and intuitive digital experience thanks to extensive use of automation and self-service options. The solutions that Tietoevry will provide also include new mobile payment solutions such as GooglePay, FitBit and Garmin.

“An important element for DSS is the ability to provide customers with a good user experience as well as with user-friendly banking services that enable the banks to focus on their customers and on implementing their distinctive position in their local market. The new agreement we have entered into will help the banks meet these expectations. We regard this renewed vote of confidence as a sign that we have provided good deliveries for a long time that have supported the banks in their efforts to meet their efficiency and growth targets”, comments Martin Kverne, Sales Director for Financial Services at Tietoevry.
