Tieto continues in role as IT supplier for Region Skåne
16 January 2019
Tieto has once again been entrusted with supplying user-friendly IT services to Region Skåne, one of Sweden’s largest county councils. The extension has been for two years with an option to extend for another six years. The contract is worth SEK 300 million.
The deal means Tieto takes full responsibility for delivering user-friendly IT to Region Skåne’s 35,000 employees. That includes a number of areas such as printing, workplace support, multimedia and video conferencing as well as service desk and local service with related accessories and extra technician support. Tieto will thereby supply the region’s users with modern services and new technologies that are continuously being developed.
- "We are very pleased to be given this renewed confidence from Region Skåne which gives us a common platform for continuing to develop modern and flexible services that will benefit the region’s citizens,” says Cristina Petrescu, Head of Public Sector, Tieto.
Tieto has collaborated with Region Skåne for more than 40 years as part of its vast experience within the public sector and is delivering IT services to all of Sweden’s county councils. The renewed deal cements the company’s position as the leading IT supplier in the Malmö region.
