The Nordic IT services and software company, Tieto, has announced an official opening of its new office in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The new office will support the growing base of Tieto’s oil and gas sector customers in the Middle East and strengthen Tieto’s presence in this region.
As a leading global provider of software solutions, the company offers two key products – Energy Components for hydrocarbon management and DaWinci for logistics management – covering a wide range of different oil and gas operations. Tieto serves more than 100 oil and gas companies across 55 countries around the globe concentrating in strategic acquisitions for growing the oil and gas business, with a focused approach for the Middle East region.
The new office in Dubai will serve as the base of operations for Anton Yakovlev, Sales Director for the Tieto Middle East. He will run operations locally and drive regional growth. Anton has been managing sales in the Middle East, Russia and Caspia markets since the past six years and currently manages Tieto’s regional accounts in UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar and Iraq. Anton and his team will be supported by Tieto’s global network of oil and gas solutions development and delivery centres, including those in Norway, India, Netherlands and Malaysia.
