28 February 2019

Tieto Corporation's Annual Report for 1 January–31 December 2018 has been published in English and Finnish. The report, including the Report by the Board of Directors, Financial Statements and the Corporate Governance Statement, is available at and as an attachment to this stock exchange release. The Corporate Governance Statement has been prepared in accordance with the Finnish Corporate Governance Code.

Tieto's Sustainability Report 2018 is integrated in the Annual Report. The report outlines Tieto's sustainability performance in 2018 against its Sustainability 2020 plan and long-term sustainability targets; minimizing environmental impact, creating value for stakeholders and being an ethical forerunner. The report is prepared in accordance with Global Reporting Initiative's (GRI) Standards option Core.

The sustainability highlights of the year include the aggregated CO2 emissions reductions totaling to -56% since 2016 launch of the Sustainability 2020 plan. During the year we also renewed the Code of Conduct Policy and related eLearning to better match the demands of today's global working environment. Furthermore, Tieto was among the first in the Nordics to publish its framework for the ethical AI development, together with introduction of a certificate for employees working with AI product and service development.

"Reflecting the increased interest towards sustainability among all stakeholders, I am pleased with the progress we have made in our 2018 sustainability performance. As today's world requires active participation from businesses to tackle common global challenges, such as equality and environmental concerns, we at Tieto continue to drive sustainable development across our value chain", says Kia Haring, Head of Global Communications and Sustainability at Tieto.
