Tieto Sweden has been acknowledged and recertified by the Swiss EDGE Certified Foundation for the company´s initiatives in pursuing gender equality in its operations. The new assessment revealed improvements in all assessed areas.
In December 2015 Tieto Sweden became the first IT company in the world to receive the first degree of EDGE certification – a leading global assessment methodology and business certification standard for gender equality which assesses policies, practices and numbers across five different areas of analysis: equal pay for equivalent work, recruitment and promotion, leadership development training and mentoring, flexible working and company culture.
During the past two years Tieto has made efforts to improve gender equality in all areas. The company has maintained a robust and effective framework around ensuring equal pay for equivalent work as well as delivering consistent improvement in the gender balance across the talent pipeline and at all levels of responsibility. Furthermore, since the previous assessment in 2015 the EDGE Standard on the proportionate retention of talent has been reached. - We are proud of the certification and the dedicated work towards gender equality that we are doing at Tieto. In recent years, Tieto has also worked with building awareness on the positive effects of diversity and gender equality, for example through collaborations with educational institutions and other partners. The company has also set up a diversity council with members of the top management to make sure that the initiatives are carried out together with business partners across industries.
