Equileap, a non-profit organization, published its second cross-sector ranking showing how well the world’s top companies, across all sectors and countries, perform on gender equality. The ranking measures how well public companies with a market value of more than USD 2 billion do in offering equal opportunities to both genders.
“Gender equality in the workplace is one of Tieto’s core values and a strategic priority for us, and we continuously work to improve equal opportunities at work. A diverse workforce and inclusive working culture are preconditions for our employees to thrive which is crucial in order to foster innovation, creativity and trust – and to keep us competitive as an employer and a business partner”, says Katarina Kravi, Head of Human Resources at Tieto.
“This is a great acknowledgement, and we’re encouraged to see that Tieto ranked 21st globally and placed highest among technology companies on the list. We’ll continue to work towards our goal of becoming the number one.”
In 2015, Tieto was the first IT company in the world to receive the gender equality certification from EDGE, the leading global assessment methodology and business certification standard for gender equality.
