Tieto is implementing a new pension payment system for two large Finnish pension providers, Keva and Varma. The deal is a three-year renewal project that creates a platform for automated and modern payments.
The solution will support Keva’s and Varma’s business processes and allow the companies to work more efficiently. The goal is to automate processes and save time that is currently spent on manual routine tasks. Instead, staff will be able to focus increasingly on tasks that require specialist knowledge.
Tieto has built and manages payment systems in Finland that currently handle payments to more than 650,000 pensioners. The new system will double the number of recipients using Tieto’s solutions.
The project will be carried out in stages with agile methods and tools. That includes DevOps methods and automated solutions for system development. The new pension payment system will replace aging systems and will connect seamlessly to tax authorities, banks and the public pension system. Modern technologies and modularity will enable flexible developments in the future, allowing the system to adapt to circumstances like new regulations in a cost-efficient way.
