As a certified project manager, your chances of managing exciting and meaningful projects increase. The certification serves as a quality stamp for your knowledge and experience as a project manager and provides personal insights and time for reflection.

If you have experience working as a project manager and solid knowledge of the PPS model, you are eligible to become certified.

The certification is based on the PPS model and the medium-level project management framework.

Certification components

The PPS Project manager certification is conducted remotely and consists of two parts:

  1. Part One: You will receive 30 multiple-choice questions. To proceed to the second part, you must answer at least 24 correctly.
  2. Part Two: You will be given two open-ended questions, your written answers are assessed by PPS certification reviewers.

 

Prerequisites for certification

To begin the certification process, the following requirements must be met:

  • You have worked as a project manager for at least 6 months within the past 2 years. Random checks may be conducted to verify your experience.
  • You have completed the PPS training program for project managers or the course PPS Project Management – The basics of Project Management.

Pricing and booking terms

  • Completed certification: SEK 9,000 (excluding VAT). Invoiced after certification is completed.
  • Full fee is charged if cancellation occurs less than one week before the start date; half the fee is charged if cancellation occurs 1–3 weeks before the start.
  • If the written assignment is not approved, half the fee is charged.
  • If the written exam (multiple choice questions) is not approved, the full fee is charged.
  • Re-certification can be done for SEK 4,500 (excluding VAT).

 

Certification schedule

  • The written exam takes place from 08:30 to 12:00.
  • Results will be reviewed and communicated no later than the day after the exam.

 

Validity of certification

The PPS Project Manager certification is valid indefinitely and does not require re-certification.

 

Information for employers / recruiters

Are you hiring or appointing a PPS certified project manager?
A PPS certified project manager has proven experience and theoretical knowledge of the PPS model. This gives you, as an employer or recruiter, confirmation of the individual’s competence and experience.

PPS can verify that a certified project manager has:

  • Proven experience of working as a project manager for at least 6 months prior to certification
  • Passed the written exam, demonstrating strong theoretical knowledge of the PPS model
