Tieto launches a new AI solution for the healthcare and welfare sector

29 November 2017

The Nordic IT services and software company Tieto announces Tieto Intelligent Wellbeing, a data-driven solution for actors in the healthcare sector. Using artificial intelligence (AI), the handling of large amounts of patient data can be done much faster and more accurately, while increasing the effectiveness and reliability of health efforts at individual and societal levels.

The society is struggling with multiple wellbeing challenges. In addition to socially excluded people, top-heavy age structures and an increasing number of chronically ill people, the society as a whole faces huge pressures enabling a more patient centric of healthcare and welfare services.

Tieto Intelligent Wellbeing enables healthcare and welfare organizations to utilize their patient data for innovation and accelerate data-driven development many times faster than has been possible before. This creates wellbeing benefits by enabling preventive and proactive actions.

– By using and analysing the huge amount of data in the health and welfare sector, we can at an early stage identify and prevent illness, says Matti Ristimäki, Director, Tieto Intelligent Wellbeing.

– With the help of artificial intelligence, we provide more efficient and patient centered care in collaboration with various industry actors and partners in our established ecosystem. Together we contribute to the future of healthcare, says Ulrika Giers, business development manager, Tieto Public.

Tieto Intelligent Wellbeing is a modular, cloud-based service for providing Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities to healthcare and welfare professionals. It enables utilization of healthcare and welfare data in order to enable the optimisation of individual wellbeing and cost of healthcare and welfare services.

Tieto’s Lifecare, an integrated healthcare and social welfare solution, enables a seamless care experience.
