The new agreements between Telenor and EVRY includes a dedicated cloud solution, infrastructure operations and data centre services in order to support Telenor’s digital transformation.
EVRY has delivered IT services to Telenor’s Norwegian organisation for many years. In the new agreement, scope has been extended and now also covers Telenor in Sweden, in addition to Telenor’s Business Units in Norway.
According to the agreement, EVRY will deliver an innovative infrastructure with dedicated cloud solutions that can be combined with global public cloud solutions. This concept enables flexibility, high degree of security and scalability both in terms of technology and costs. In Norway most of the services will be delivered from EVRYs newly built datacenter, which will be leveraging state of the art cloud solutions.
“The standardization of services across regions brings efficiency and scale. Cloud based technology represents a foundation for our transformational journey towards becoming a true digital service provider. Through initiatives like this, our organization will be able to quickly adjust to the ever changing needs of our customers in an effective way”, comments Ruza Sabanovic, Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer in Telenor.
EVRY’s datacentres are world-class in terms of security and environmental performance. The datacentres use half as much energy as traditional datacentres thanks to the use of an entirely new and innovative air cooling system in conjunction with modern, virtualised and energy-efficient servers.
EVRY delivers complete IT solutions based on world-leading technology to a large number of leading businesses and organisations in the Nordics.
“We are very proud to have been selected by Telenor, which proves that we can offer high quality infrastructure and cloud solutions also to the enterprise market. Telenor is a company that is genuinely able to make use of new technology to benefit its customers, and the new agreement will enable Telenor to provide its customers with even better solutions internationally. This is a good example when we are creating digital advantage for EVRY’s customers”, comments Björn Ivroth, CEO at EVRY.
The agreement covers the delivery of dynamic infrastructure as a service (IAAS) and modern storage solutions. The deliveries include support and management tools for a Cloud Management Platform (CMP). In summary, EVRY will deliver a future-oriented Cloud solution to Telenor’s Business Units to support the group’s need for a secure, stable and flexible platform for its critical business applications.
