Notification to Data Controllers

ServiceNow is adding new ServiceNow entities as sub-processors – notification to Data Controllers

ServiceNow relies on ServiceNow affiliates to offer customer support for its customers. The ServiceNow affiliates (as sub-processors) are playing an important role in providing this service. ServiceNow has recently announced, that following ServiceNow entities are to be added to the list of of sub-processors:

  • ServiceNow Poland sp.z.o.o (Poland)
  • ServiceNow Spain SL (Spain)
  • ServiceNow Sweden AB (Sweden)
  • Service-Now.com GmbH (Germany)
  • ServiceNow GmbH (Austria)
  • ServiceNow Belgium BV (Belgium)
  • ServiceNow Denmark ApS (Denmark)
  • ServiceNow Finland Oy (Finland)
  • ServiceNow France SAS (France)
  • ServiceNow Italy S.r.l (Italy)
  • ServiceNow Norway AS (Norway)
  • ServiceNow Switzerland GmbH (Switzerland)
  • Service Now A.B Israel 2012 Ltd. (Israel)
  • ServiceNow Canada Inc. (Canada) 

Each new sub-processor will be subject to the same contractual and legal obligations as the existing sub-processors. This change does not affect the way ServiceNow hosts customer data. It will be continued to be hosted in the region the customer has specified. All processing of customer data is always in strict accordance with ServiceNow’s Data Security Guide - access to customer data occurs on a case-by-case basis and is strictly controlled, with activity being logged and monitored.

ServiceNow says this change is needed, so they can continue to grow as a business, manage capacity, and ensure that their global support continues to meet the requirements of customers.

This change will take effect on 11th April 2023.
