Tietoevry India participated in the NASSCOM Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Leaders Meet at Pune on May 24, 2023. Our team participated in some important discussions around key DEI topics and gained a lot of insights and learnings from this event.
We had the privilege of participating in the NASSCOM Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Leaders Meet on Wednesday, May 24 at BNY Mellon in Pune and discuss best practices for diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.
Sarang Dewaikar, Head of European Deliveries at Tietoevry Create, moderated a panel discussion on ‘Overcoming Barriers to Inclusion: Strategies for Addressing Common Challenges’ with panelists Kavita Dumbare, Head of Middle East region and D&I Lead at HSBC, Samidha Mohanty, VP HR Technology at VOIS India (Vodaphone) and Reema Lunawat, DEI champion and Associate Principal at ZS.
It was an insightful discussion around topics such as understanding biases, microaggressions, recognizing and addressing stereotypes, allyship and advocacy and practical challenges and barriers that are faced when driving changes in the workplace. The panelists gave examples from their experiences in the IT sector and shared practical solutions to address systemic issues and implement effective DEI programs in our work environments. The panel also touched upon ‘Women in technical roles’ as a parallel topic, and discussed what can be done further to support women pursuing careers in technology.
Some of our Pune business leaders and members of ILEAD, our DEI community, actively participated in the event which was attended by over 75 esteemed delegates including senior leaders, HR leaders, Center Heads and CXOs from across the tech ecosystem in the region.
