Tietoevry wins Inera procurement

The procurement is a vital part in the implementation of Inera's business strategy.

13 May 2022

Tietoevry is one of the winners in the procurement with Inera for its application management and application development of national services. Services included in the agreement are 1177 e-services, the Certification Service, the Journal, and the National Patient Overview, amongst others. The procurement is a vital part in the implementation of Inera's business strategy.

Following the completion of the procurement for its application management and application development, Inera appointed Tietoevry as their new framework agreement partner together with seven other suppliers. Inera's mission is to create the conditions for digitizing welfare by providing Sweden's municipalities and regions with a common digital infrastructure. Information about Inera's owners, see the profile text below.

The procurement is a vital part in the implementation of Inera's business strategy, in which a robust and cost-effective national infrastructure, including common solutions for municipalities and regions, is ensured.

The purpose of the framework agreement is to steer deliveries towards cost efficiency, delivery stability and with requirements for different service levels. Services included in the framework agreement include 1177 e-services, the Certification Service, as well as the Journal and National Patient Overview. When Inera sets the framework for application management, and together with the suppliers constantly works to optimize this area, a cost predictability and probable cost reduction is created in favor of further development.

The goal is also to find effective forms of application development where the space can give suppliers the opportunity to proactively act and innovate.

- It feels very inspiring to gain renewed trust from Inera through this framework agreement as Tietoevry today has the task of managing the Journal and National Patient Overview (NPÖ) services,” says Ola Noreklint, Head of Consulting for Tietoevry Care Sweden.

- We want to start strategic collaborations with a number of selected suppliers to enable stable and efficient application management while we simultaneously work to innovate towards future application development to meet tomorrow's needs,” says Sara Meunier, CTO and Head of Department at Inera.

The framework agreement covers most of Inera's services, including important national services such as 1177. The procurement does not cover operations. Inera has set a maximum amount of SEK 2.7 billion for the next seven years, where framework agreements with eight suppliers are signed for a maximum of four years.
