Improved security for DNSSEC by ServiceNow
Improved security for DNSSEC (Domain Name System Security Extensions) to be implemented by ServiceNow
What?
Improved security mechanisms for DNSSEC (Domain Name System Security Extensions) will be implemented by the ServiceNow vendor soon. DNSSEC algorithm will be updated from version 7 to 13. There is no expected impact for users, if industry standards of DNS practices are followed by the ISP (Internet Service Provider).
What do I need to do?
To be sure your ISP is ready, please go to following address: http://dnssec-13.servicenowlab.com.
If you are redirected to address https://www.servicenow.com, your ISP is proven ready, and no further actions are needed.
If you receive error message, please contact Tietoevry for support and also contact your IT department and ISP (especially if you work from home).
What does it mean if I get an error?
It means that your ISP is not using the latest DNSSEC algorithm (version 13), and this will prevent you from accessing Tietoevry Service Channel soon.
