HIMSS Europe 2026: Shaping the future of digital healthcare in Europe

HIMSS Europe 2026 brings together healthcare leaders shaping Europe’s digital health priorities: AI-enabled care, interoperable EHRs, cybersecurity, digital maturity and the European Health Data Space (EHDS). The focus is firmly on translating policy and strategy into scalable, operational improvements across healthcare systems.

Meet Tieto Caretech at HIMSS Europe 2026

As a sponsor and exhibitor, Tieto Caretech welcomes visitors to our stand to explore how proven experience across Nordic and European healthcare environments supports practical EHR modernisation and responsible use of AI.

Through live demos of Lifecare Clinical Suite and Lifecare Resource Optimization, we show production‑ready solutions that help clinicians work more efficiently, support interoperable care delivery, and enable data‑driven planning and resource use, improving outcomes for professionals, patients and organisations alike.

Re-imagining the EHR: What Should the Future Look Like?
Brought to you by Tieto | Momentum Stage

From static documentation to active intelligence. AI is redefining how we work with EHR systems – from storing information to curating, connecting, and activating it in real time.

In this workshop, we explore how embedded AI in EHRs will change everyday clinical work, unlock new value from health data, and reshape decision making across care pathways. What choices do we need to make to get there? And how do we realistically move from outdated, monolithic EHR systems toward next generation, AI enabled and connected EHRs?

Join an interactive discussion with experienced hospital experts as we share practical insights, real world lessons, and bold perspectives on what it takes to modernize EHRs – and, ultimately, transform how we deliver healthcare. Come ready to challenge old assumptions and rethink what the EHR can and should be.

Beyond Dashboards: Data-Driven Care and the Emergence of AI Agents
Supported by Tieto | Transformation Stage

Healthcare organisations are collecting more data than ever, but turning that data into better decisions and measurable clinical improvement remains a challenge.

This session looks at how analytics dashboards and connected data systems can be used to identify priorities for digitalisation and support high quality care delivery. As AI capabilities accelerate, the real differentiator is no longer data access, but how effectively organisations operationalise it. We will explore how advanced analytics, real-time dashboards, and emerging AI agents are transforming fragmented data into actionable intelligence. Attendees will gain insight into how today’s data foundations are evolving into intelligent ecosystems, where AI agents augment human decision-making by closing the loop between insight and action.
