The Google Developer Groups (GDG) Pune meet concluded recently with great success, attracting a significant number of participants from diverse technology sectors. Tietoevry was the venue sponsor for the meet, which was held at Tietoevry Pune office on May 24, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM under the theme ‘Build with AI’.
Google Developer Groups (GDG) represent the world’s largest developer community, united by a shared passion and expertise in Google’s developer technologies. This meetup brought together developers from various organizations to learn, connect, and grow—while fostering a strong sense of belonging within both the local and global GDG community.
Tietoevry experts actively participated in technical talks and sessions as speakers:
The event kicked off on an inspiring note with Ashutosh Bhatnagar (Head of Health Suite India, Tietoevry Care), who reminded us that ‘Bringing purposeful technology to life’ is not just a tagline at Tietoevry — it’s a way of working we truly live by. He shared how we are harnessing the power of AI to drive meaningful impact in healthcare through our Tietoevry Care solutions. He also reinforced our sustainability pledge, spotlighting initiatives like green coding that reflect our commitment to building a greener, more sustainable planet.
One of the most anticipated moments of the day was the session ‘From Prompt to Product: The AI Developer’s Journey’ jointly presented by Yogesh Gurnani (Senior Lead Software Architect, Tietoevry Care) and Ashok Tambe (Senior Tech Lead, Tietoevry Care). From prompt engineering to deployment, they walked us through how AI innovation becomes reality within Tietoevry Care. Their live demo was a showstopper — a real-world example of purpose-led tech in action.
Sakshi Walia (Lead HR Specialist, Tietoevry Care) then took the stage to highlight the incredible culture we have cultivated at Tietoevry — built on the timeless values of Openness, Trust, and Diversity. She highlighted how these values aren’t just aspirational — they’re foundational. She also spoke about current opportunities at Tietoevry, extending an invitation to passionate individuals looking to be part of a mission-driven organization shaping the digital future.
Other esteemed speakers from across the ecosystem also added remarkable depth to the day:
- Pranoti Nandurkar and Siddhi Khaire delivered compelling insights on MLOps, exploring how to operationalize machine learning models and embed observability to scale AI responsibly and reliably.
- Ashutosh S. Bhakare captivated the audience with his talk on GKE and Gemini AI, unlocking a world of possibilities for scalable and secure AI infrastructure.
- Sarang Kulkarni offered deep insights into the evolving world of intelligent systems, breaking down powerful ML patterns such as RAG, ReAct, and Reflection, and illustrating how these patterns are shaping the next generation of AI agents.
- Shreya Dhurde and Yogesh Gurnani highlighted how the emerging MCP protocol is transforming the AI landscape, enabling more scalable, secure, and efficient communication across distributed AI systems.
Overall, it was a day filled with visionary insights, real-world applications, and shared purpose. Together, we explored how AI can drive positive changes not just for business, but for society and the planet. We look forward to further collaboration with Google Developer Groups (GDG) on similar future endeavors.
