Democratizing trust through disrupting technologies

The event will provide an excellent opportunity to present and discuss the main policy drivers of the digital transformation of European industry and society. It will also present how the EU research & innovation agenda can best contribute to these objectives. The event will also present the Horizon 2020 Work Programme, and serve as a unique networking platform for ICT enthusiasts and professionals. 

The Digital Excellence Forum will feature a conference session on the complementary role of research and digital policy, with the participation of high-level experts on the subject.

We are presenting the following pilots at the event: 

  1. Tieto tohether with several other leading Finnish companies has developed reliable, simple and entirely digital way for non-listed company share trading. First-of-its kind initiative revolutionizes the way investors & startups transact. Read more >>>

  2. HUS Helsinki University Hospital and Sitra, the Finnish Innovation Fund, along with partners have launched a proof-of-concept project to develop a secure method of transferring data from the monitoring devices of diabetic children to their parents and the hospital. The proof of concept focuses on building an integrated authorization process within the system and working towards secure data transfer. This is beneficial for the patient’s treatment and monitoring that their physician receives the patient data as quickly as possible. Read more >>>

  3. Technology enlisted in push to improve fitness of Finnish conscripts. A pilot project between the Finnish Defence Forces, Suunto and Tieto is enabling conscripts and reservists to track their physical activity and wellbeing. Read more >>>

  4. Building the data infrastructure to give Finland’s top athletes the competitive edge. In a joint pilot project, the Finnish Olympic Committee, Polar and Tieto are testing a new system for gathering and analyzing the performance data of athletes. There are several sportsperson and coach pairs involved. The pilot project is the starting gun for the broader development of an information system for top Finnish athletes. Read more >>>
